The checkered flag waved on Lee's life on April 7, 2012. Fondly remembered in his glory days as a champion race driver. Lee also loved flying and was a professional fisherman. Predeceased by wife and co-pilot M. Lorraine and siblings Roy, Lois and Richard.

Lee won his last Oswego feature aboard the Gulick #5 on June 17th 1961

Lee got a fourth place finish in the supermodified division with this car on July 11 1964
