Rebel Jackson Sr., after deciding to come out of retirement at age 62, was killed in
an accident while racing super-
modifeds at Portland Speedway. His son, Rebel Jackson Jr. was the winner of the race. Jackson’s racing career started in 1948, and included roles as driver, sponsor and owner.
