Otto Sitterly became the first repeat winner in 2009 for the Novelis Supermodified division with his win in the Jim Shampine Memorial 58 lap feature.
 Sitterly was inside the top three by lap thirteen but needed thirty three laps before he could take the top spot in the feature. Doug Didero moved
 into second place on lap forty one but wasn’t able to overtake the high flying Sitterly, who posted the races fastest lap while he led the final
 seventeen laps of the feature. Didero, the winner of the last race on June 13th would have to settle for second. Dave McKnight, who surrendered the
  lead to Sitterly, came home in third place. Joey Payne brought the Strong Racing entry home in fourth and Sitterly’s teammate, Davey Hamilton
  finished in fifth. Greg Furlong, Pat Lavery, Keith Gilliam, Keith Shampine and Gene Lee Gibson rounded out the top ten.
The Novelis Supermodified heat race challenge winners were Jason Spaulding, Ray Graham and Bobby Magner. The Super Racing News feature “Up ‘n Comer”
was Joey Payne. The Jakes Automotive feature “Hard Charger” went to Otto Sitterly. The 2 Xtreme 24 Hr. Towing feature “Hard Luck” driver was Ray Graham.

Heat race wins were collected by McKnight, Cicconi and Magner. Jedrzejek’s lap of 15.201 seconds topped the speed charts in time trials.
 Perley, Locke, Schultz and Lichty filled out the top five trailers.
Sidelined before the racing action began, were Bobby Haynes and Kelly Miller. Haynes lost the motor on his No. 44 supermodified while
 Miller’s No. 16 succumbed to mechanical woes.
