Big John Clapham left us much too soon... he died in a highway crash near his hometown in Ontario Canada in November, 1972, leaving behind his wife Lorrain and two sons, Glen and Mark. My many racing memories include Jim Shampine and John Clapham winning United Racing Club features (when Bobby Stelter went out-of-the-ballpark) at Lancaster in 1970. . . . written by Tom Schmeh |
