Ron Lux was a resident of Buffalo, New York and was employed by Casey Trucking. In 1963,he drove under the pseudonym of Bucky Buckholtz, and also, in 1965, as Bob Hodgson, a crew member on the Purdy team. He was trying to avoid suspension from USAC, which at the time did not permit their drivers to run in non-USAC events. He finally revealed his true identity after his fourth straight win, deciding to put USAC on hold during this terrific seacon. ![]() Ron won the Orange County Eastern States 200 dirt Modified race in 1965, beating the finest competition that division had to offer. He also set fast time for the first asphalt Langhorne National Open modified (Race of Champions) event in 1965.
